Nevada County is a high-altitude - no attitude, wine region. Most wineries and vineyards are well above 2,000 feet, and one winery is located above the 6,000-foot elevation. Topography, climate and soils combine to make our wines distinctive, complex and varied. The mountainous terrain offers a range of altitudes and climate differences allowing for varieties and wine styles not available in many other regions. Our small family owned and operated wineries produce handcrafted wines from over a dozen locally grown varietals.
