Hi, my name is Tao...Thanks for checking us out! I represent the 4-legged community here in Nevada County. I speak for all of us when I say that this place rocks, it’s the best, DOGS RULE, freedom abounds, we have it made up here! Just last week I was traveling with my pals, Zoe and Ryder, chasing some squirrels, cruising the back trails, playing at the Yuba and I had a moment where I remembered my humble and difficult beginnings. Wow, am I one lucky dog! Living with my mom Carla, with all this freedom is AWESOME, and the chicken dinners ain’t bad either. Teaching Carla the ropes is the best part, some humans really get us!

Lucky for me I came to live here by accident, or on purpose some might say. My start in life was kinda rough, my first owner was not very nice to me so I ran away. When they found me I was dirty, thin and pretty scared. Living on the streets of Lake Tahoe I’d been scavenging garbage dumpsters and hiding under parked cars to keep warm. That fateful day some kind folks saw me cowering under their car and asked me if I wanted some help, I guess you could say they rescued me. At first Carla was my “foster mom” but that didn’t last long because she decided to adopt me right away. Now I work with her and help her find new places that are 4-legged friendly which isn’t too hard because dogs are a big part of life here in Nevada County. So bring your furry pals along when you come visit - we’ll show them a good time too!
